The best performing primary schools in Southampton have been revealed.
Children are assessed at the end of year 6 as they leave primary school.
The latest performance figures show 61 per cent of children across England reached the expected standard across reading, writing and maths when assessed at the end of the 2023-24 academic year.
In Southampton this was 57 per cent.
The rankings
1. Mansel Park Primary and Nursery School
In first place is Mansel Park Primary and Nursery School.
Some 88 per cent of pupils at the school met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths.
2. Springhill Catholic Primary School
Coming in second place is Springhill Catholic Primary School – the school had a score of 83 per cent.
3. Sinclair Primary and Nursery School
With 80 per cent of pupils meeting the expected standard, Sinclair Primary and Nursery School shares third on the podium of the best performing primary schools in Southampton.
4. Portswood Primary School, and Fairisle Junior School
Just missing out on the top three are Portswood Primary School, and Fairisle Junior School.
At these schools, 78 per cent of pupils met the required standard in these three subjects.

6. Holy Family Catholic Primary School
In sixth place, is Holy Family Catholic Primary School.
The expected standard was met by 77 per cent of pupils here.
7. Bitterne Park Primary School
Just behind is Bitterne Park Primary School, where 76 per cent of pupils met the required standard by the end of year 6.
8. St Patrick's Catholic Primary School
With 75 per cent of pupils meeting the expected standard in reading, writing and maths, St Patrick's Catholic Primary School comes in eighth place.
9. Banister Primary School, Swaythling Primary School, Highfield Church of England Primary School, Newlands Primary School, and Freemantle Church of England Community Academy
In joint-ninth place are Banister Primary School, Swaythling Primary School, Highfield Church of England Primary School, Newlands Primary School, and Freemantle Church of England Community Academy.
At these schools, 67 per cent of pupils met the required standard.
