Romsey's only record shop reached two milestones this autumn: it has a new owner and it has marked a decade in business.
At 47 The Hundred, Hundred Records has a new owner after Mark Wills retired in October after ten years. Matt Foyle, 55, from Hedge End, told the Echo's sister paper the Advertiser his friends called him "mad" when he chose to step in.

(Image: Charles Elliman) Matt said: "Short story, although I'll make it a long one, I've been a customer here for eight years. I came here to pick up some gear at the end of September and he [Mark] said 'From the end of October the shop will be shutting'.
"I went away, had a think and, within four weeks, I bought it."
Matt continued: "I didn't want to see the place shut, nor did the rest of the customers."
The new owner had no prior experience in retail, having worked for 16 years in catering for a sandwich company.
He said: "You don't get many opportunities fall in your lap - it seemed like the right place and right time for me. If I'd turned it down, I would have regretted it. It was quite a career change."
The newly-turned record shop owner has had a lifelong love of music, first finding his passion in his early teens when he started to buy records.
The shop had a constant churn of customers during the Advertiser's interview who all ranged in age and gender.
Matt said that he has always loved music, and that it was good to see people 'starting young' with the classics and not 'just Taylor Swift.'
Leah Bundy, 18, from Salisbury, had been to Hundred Records twice before and, as well as supporting businesses, was keen to promote "classic" vinyl.
The young woman, who bought a copy of Radiohead's Ok Computer, said: "I just know it's [Hundred Records] been here for a long time and it's always friendly when I come here."

Barely eight weeks into his tenure Hundred Records has had a roaring trade, benefitting from Record Store Day on Black Friday and the festive period.
Matt said: "I'm on my third restock of Rumours [by Fleetwood Mac] in eight weeks!"
Although still finding his feet as a business owner, Matt told the Advertiser he is looking to announce live music and other events in the New Year.
