Police have released CCTV images after a man tried to snatch cigarettes from the hand of a shop worker.
A man entered the Co-op store in Warsash Road at around 9.20pm on November 20.
Upon entering, he approached the till and asked for some cigarettes.
It was reported the man tried to slide his hand under a Perspex screen and attempted to snatch the cigarettes from the staff member’s hands.
When he was unsuccessful, he punched the screen, causing it to shatter, before leaving the store while being verbally abusive.
