High traffic remains in both directions on Charles Watts Way in the run up to the M27.
AA Traffic Map suggests only five minutes of delays.
Traffic flow on the M27 has eased, but Charles Watts Way is still backed up near Junction 7.
National Highways said on their traffic map: "Severe delays of eleven minutes and delays increasing on M27 Westbound between J8 A3024 (Bursledon / Hamble) and J5 A335 Stoneham Way (Southampton Airport / Eastleigh).
"Average speed ten mph."
Traffic is backing up on Charles Watts Way and is also impacting the A335.
AA Traffic Maps reports delays of over 10 minutes westbound between Junction 5 and 7 on the M27.
