A man and a woman have been charged after a spate of shoplifting sprees at Sainsbury’s.
Robert Jones, 35, of Pendleton Gardens, Blackfield has been charged with three counts of shoplifting from Sainsbury’s in Hampton Lane.
It follows reports of thefts from the store between Saturday, November 23 and Monday, December 9.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
He has been remanded on conditional bail to next appear at the same court on January 20.
Betsy-Jade Pauline Rose King, 28, of Pendleton Gardens, has been charged with six counts of shoplifting from the same Sainsbury’s store.

It follows reports of thefts from the shop between Saturday, November 23 and Thursday, December 12.
She pleaded not guilty to the charges when she appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
She has been remanded on conditional bail to next appear at the same court on January 20.
