A community food project has delivered 25,500 meals to people in need.

City Catering's Cooking at Home initiative, which provides free groceries to vulnerable families, received a boost from Bluestar this month.

The bus company made a donation that will help the project continue its work.

Gary McMahon, CEO of City Catering Southampton, said: "We were delighted to be approached by Bluestar, proposing a Christmas donation in support of our work.

"That distribution of food represents 25,500 meals for families this Christmas season."

The Cooking at Home boxes contain recipe cards and food items, aimed at making cooking enjoyable and stress-free.
