A man had died in a stabbing in Netley, police have said.
The injured man was found in Station Road at around 6.26pm on Wednesday.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said: “On arrival, officers located a man with a stab wound. Despite the best efforts of officers and paramedics, the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“We are not currently in a position to confirm the identity of the deceased man at this time.
“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the Station Road area at the time of the incident.
“If you witnessed the incident itself, or recall seeing or hearing anything suspicious in the area at the time, please contact us and quote incident number 44240550396.”
