The popular Light Up Sir Harold Hillier Gardens event has been cancelled tonight due to high winds.
Organisers announced the closure today, stating that safety is their top priority.
They apologised for any disappointment caused to ticket holders.
Visitors with tickets for tonight's event have several options.
They can reschedule their visit by logging into the SEE Tickets portal with their reference number and postcode.
This must be done by 7pm on December 20, 2024.
Alternatively, if rescheduling is not possible, ticket holders can receive an automatic ticket for the 2025 trail by emailing hello@lightuptrails.com with their booking reference.
For those who prefer a refund, they can submit a request through the SEE Tickets portal, with refunds processed within 3–5 working days.
The gardens will remain open every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day until January 1, 2025.
The organisers expressed their gratitude, and said: "Due to high winds exceeding safe limits, we have made the difficult decision to close the light trail for the evening.
"We sincerely apologise for any disappointment this causes. Your safety and that of our staff is always our top priority."
They hope visitors will still join them to create magical memories this festive season.
