Traffic flow has now returned to normal.
Traffic eastbound between Junction 5 and 7 is now easing and delays of only five minutes are expected.
Google Maps now reports that the traffic is already easing significantly, with delays reducing down to 10 minutes. The affected area eastbound is shown below in red.

Delays have now slightly reduced to 20 minutes.
All lanes are now cleared after the crash earlier on, and delays are starting to slowly ease.

The broken down vehicle has now been cleared, so the previously blocked lane at Junction 7 is now open.
However, even with this lane clear, delays of 30 minutes are still present heading eastbound between Junction 5 and 7 due to an earlier crash.

Though the image is blurry, National Highways' traffic cameras show that the eastbound carriageway is still plagued with traffic. The road regulator still expects 40 minute delays on the M27 between Junction 5 and 7.

Facebook commenter Dazzer Stephens said: "Glad I'm sat at home."
Due to the crash, National Highways says that traffic is not expected to return to normal conditions until some point between 6.30 and 6.45.
The road is not expected to be cleared until that time either.
Just a few minutes after reporting a 34-minute delay, Google Maps now says that the delay has reached 37 minutes.
Google Maps is reporting a 34-minute delay across a 7.5 mile stretch eastbound on the M27 between Rownhams service station and Junction 7.
National Highways suggests on its traffic map that the M27 is experienced 30 minutes of delays against expected traffic between Junction 5 and 7 eastbound due to a crash.
The lane closure due to a broken down vehicle is not helping the flow of traffic.
Google Maps shows the affected area on its traffic view. The darker red areas are considered 'severely' affected.
