Many residents in Southampton have fond memories of watching films at Odeon Cinema or drinking with friends at Oceana nightclub at the Leisure World complex in Southampton.

In 2021, plans were announced to see the site regenerated - demolishing the old Leisure World building and building 650 homes, two hotels, serviced hotel apartments, aHowever these plans never took off and the site was left to rot for a further three years.
This was until October 2024, when HWM Group demolished Leisure World for Associated British Ports, which will use the site for cruise parking for the Port.
The demolition project was completed in 16 weeks.
HWM Group recycled 98 per cent of the steel, concrete, and cabling, clearing the site to its original ground level slab.
