A trio of Saints players made a surprise visit to patients at University Hospital Southampton.
Premier League stars Ben Brereton-Diaz, Joe Lumley and Ryan Manning were at the medicine for older people (MOP) ward to find out about the cutting edge 'falls recovery programme', but also made time for young fans from Southampton Children's Hospital.
The project, run by Saints Foundation, is a referral-based programme for older adults in Southampton who have had or are at risk of a serious fall to take part in a 12-week rehabilitation programme within the community.

READ MORE:In 2022, the project expanded to the MOP ward at UHS and, with the help of Southampton Hospitals Charity (SHC), there is now a Saints Foundation exercise practitioner based on the ward 4 days a week to work with patients to improve their mobility, strength and balance to help get them home sooner.
The Saints players visited the ward’s gym to chat, signed autographs, posed for photos and even joined in some games with lifelong supporters, bringing some festive joy.
