Repair works have hit a busy city centre junction for the second time in a week, causing drivers to fume over queues and slow moving traffic.
Southern Water staff were working at the junction between Hill Lane, Howard Road and Archers Road at the start of the month after reports of a leak next to the boarded up pub The Winston.
Temporary traffic lights were put in place and were removed as works ended on December 6.
But on December 13, just one week later, Southern Water returned to carry out further repairs, and temporary lights were back in place on Monday.
Teams were at the junction to repair a burst water main on Hill Lane. Temporary lights are still in place now.

Southern Water apologised for 'any disruption this is causing customers and businesses in the area' but residents have been left angry at the queues being caused by the works.
Ryan Lewis from Shirley previously told the Echo of his traffic woes, but now says the queues make him want to ‘pull his hair out’ whenever he drives home from work.
“I just can’t drive anywhere at the moment,” Ryan said.
“The queues on Howard Road heading towards Hill Lane are crazy, they just aren’t worth waiting around in.
“Trying to get home from work and being stuck in a queue is just so frustrating, I find myself grabbing my hair and pulling it out while I wait.”

Jamie Hankins commented on the Echo's social media, saying that sometimes people need to accept that works are essential.
Jamie said: "People always complain about roadworks, but it sounds like these ones needed to happen.
"Sometimes life is inconvenient."
Simon Bell said he can escape the longer waits by using alternative methods of transport.
On Facebook, Simon said: "I'm glad I mainly cycle through here so can get to the front of the queue or cycle through the common."
Southern Water’s interactive works map shows three ‘user reported leaks’ on the junction.
The map says that the estimated completion date for works is December 19.
