A life-saving defibrillator has been presented to a visitor attraction that boasts a farm shop, a cafe, and an annual pumpkin festival.
The Waterside Scrapstore made the presentation to the owners of Sunnyfields Farm in Jacobs Gutter Lane, Totton, where the group is based.
Sunnyfields was established by Ian and Louise Nelson in 1990.
A Waterside Scrapstore said the group had taken a significant step towards enhancing community safety by donating a defibrillator. The generous donation underscores the Scrapstore's commitment to local well-being.
"The Scrapstore is also gearing up for its exclusive members-only Quilting Super Saturday event on January 18.
"This special event offers fantastic deals on quilting fabrics, threads, and haberdashery, generously donated by a retiring local quilting business.
"Members are encouraged to arrive early to secure the best selection. If you're not yet a member, you can join on the day."
The Waterside Scrapstore is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to sustainability and creativity.
In 2023 alone members diverted more than 3,400m of fabric, 1,200 balls of wool, and 1,200 bags of mixed craft materials from landfill.
"By collecting and redistributing unwanted materials, they promote environmental awareness and provide affordable creative resources to individuals, families, and community groups."
