A charity has unveiled four new minibuses to help older people access its care centres.
Age Concern Hampshire has added the vehicles to its fleet to help elderly people who cannot reach the care and wellbeing centres on their own or with help from family and friends.
The minibuses, which feature tail lifts, are staffed by trained passenger assistants to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.
Hannah Park, head of operations at Age Concern Hampshire said: "Our staff and the older people we support, are very excited to start making good use of the new minibuses! They will make a real difference to those that ACH support."
A spokesperson for Age Concern Hampshire said: "This new fleet represents a critical investment in providing affordable, reliable transport, enabling individuals to access the care and connection they need."
The charity’s care and wellbeing centres offer services such as personalised care, mobility support, specialist dementia care, and engaging activities.
The centres aim to promote independence and overall wellbeing among older adults. The services also provide respite for families and carers.
The charity's spokesperson said the new minibuses reinforce Age Concern Hampshire’s commitment to supporting older communities.
