Eastleigh's MP has raised concerns over pay rises for non-academised sixth form college teachers.
Liberal Democrat MP Liz Jarvis contacted education minister Bridget Phillipson regarding the matter.
Teachers from Barton Peveril College, Peter Symonds College, and Itchen Sixth Form College engaged in industrial action in December.
Ms Jarvis said: "All teachers deserve pay which reflects their hard work and service to young people.
"While I recognise the funding challenges facing wider education sector and welcome the acceptance of the School Teachers' Review Body (STRB) recommendation, I am deeply concerned that the Government has failed to address this simple issue of fairness and supported these teachers."
Ms Jarvis highlighted the lack of a 5.5 per cent pay rise for teachers from 43 non-academised sixth form colleges, unlike their counterparts in schools, school sixth forms, and academised colleges.
She urged the government to review further education funding, including the possibility of exempting colleges from VAT.
