Princess Cruises has told Regal Princess passenger to expect changes to their voyages in order for crews to undertake ‘critical preventive maintenance’ on board the ship.
Voyages affected include those scheduled to depart from Galveston January 12 and January 5 – with Regal Princesses’ Galveston departure on December 8 already having faced changes.
As part of the changes made, the cruise operator is replacing a planned visit to Costa Maya, Mexico, with an extended stay in Roatán, Honduras.

Princess told customers: “As part of our commitment to ensuring your safety, comfort and a seamless sailing experience, we’d like to inform you of a necessary adjustment to the itinerary for your upcoming voyage.
“This adjustment will allow us the necessary time in port to complete critical preventive maintenance while ensuring the continued smooth operation of the ship throughout your vacation and future voyages.”
The company has also said that affected passengers will be able to cancel their cruises for a full refund, including any shore excursions.
