ROMSEY councillors have voted to support a planning application, but warn this is only if certain conditions are met.
At a Romsey Town Council Planning Committee meeting on Thursday, December 5 councillors decided to back a plan for a two-storey side extension and a single-storey rear extension.
The application was for a property at 10 Meon Road, Romsey, but councillors say their support is conditional.
Committee chair Cllr John Critchley said: "Subject to the provision of maintenance to the required number of [off-street] parking spaces, the committee do not want to see the verge impacted in any way."
During the deliberations councillors were confused by aspects of the planning drawing, particularly as to whether the garage would be retained or incorporated into the extension.
The town council cannot vote to approve or reject a planning application, but its opinion is considered by Test Valley Borough Council which does make decisions.
