The police and crime commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight will scrutinise the Chief Constable in a live Q&A session.

The event, known as COPS (Commissioner’s Oversight of Policing Services), will be live-streamed on Thursday, December 12 at 6pm.

Public participation is encouraged, with people able to pre-submit questions or ask them live during the session.

"COPS is your chance to ask us both questions on the police and crime issues that matter most to you.

"You can pre-submit your questions to us, or ask us live on the night."

The session will focus on the priorities of the commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan, which were formed after more than 10,000 residents responded to a consultation in the summer.

The plan includes topics such as police visibility, business and retail crime, road safety, rural crime, serious violence, and anti-social behaviour.

A recording of the COPS session will be made available for those unable to watch the event live.

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner also plans to respond to all the questions submitted.
