A fight broke out involving a group of men armed with poles and hammers - with one man hit by a car in the brawl.
Four men were involved in a group were involved in the incident that saw One Stop cordoned off by police just before 7pm on Tuesday night in North East Road, Sholing.
Police said a man had been hit by a car in the same incident.
Two men, in their 20s and 50s, suffered minor injuries, police said.

No arrests have yet been made but police remain in Sholing on Wednesday.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We were called shortly after 6.40pm on Tuesday to reports of an altercation taking place on North East Road in Southampton.
“It was reported that a group of four males were involved in the altercation and that weapons, including poles and hammers, had been seen. It was also reported that a man had been hit with a car as a result of the altercation.
“Officers attended and located a man in his 20s and a man in his 50s with minor injuries.
“An investigation has been launched and enquiries to determine the circumstances of the incident are underway. Police will be in the area today carrying out enquiries.
“No arrests have been made at the current time.”
Reacting to the news, Sholing Ward Councillor, James Baillie, said: "I am shocked that something like this could happen in our area of Sholing, and my thoughts are with those injured, their families, those in nearby roads and the One Stop staff who have been affected."
