Police have released a CCTV image after a would-be shoplifter assaulted an Asda store worker.
The attempted theft and assault of a member of staff happened at the store in High Street, West End, between 2.45pm and 2.55pm on November 15.
Hampshire police want anyone with information about the person in the picture to get in touch.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.
“Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.
“You can do this by calling 101, or by reporting online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, quoting incident number 44240501206.”
