Fareham Borough Council has released its third annual update on its climate change action plan.
First published in June 2021, the plan aims to make all council buildings and services carbon-neutral by 2030. Since 2019-20, Fareham Borough Council has managed to cut its emissions by nearly 25 per cent.
Executive member for planning and development, cllr Malcolm Daniells, said: "Reducing the Council’s carbon emissions is a high priority, and I am pleased to see the results of the work so far in this annual update of our Climate Change Action Plan.
"We recognise our leadership role in reducing carbon emissions across the Borough and the update highlights the support we are giving to encourage broader change with both businesses and residents as well as our plans for the future."
The update also highlights the council's ongoing efforts to support residents and businesses in reducing their carbon emissions.
The full action plan is available on the council’s website.
