Three trees collapsed at St Mary Extra Cemetery in Sholing when Storm Darragh hit, new pictures show.
Though there was no sign of any damage to the gravestones, pictures taken by a resident showed the extreme consequences of Storm Darragh.
One tree in particular lined the main footbath in the cemetery, with a solitary red cone warning passersby to avoid the area.
Commenting on the fallen trees, Sholing Ward Councillor, James Baillie, said: “As Storm Darragh hit Southampton over the last few days, its 60mph winds have resulted in disruption to both travel services, and the area through fallen trees and debris.
“It caused several trees to fall in St Mary’s Extra Cemetery. Thankfully it appears that no graves were damaged, and nobody was hurt.
“Our thanks go to those who are dealing with the cleanup operation to make sure the area is safe for those visiting the cemetery over the Christmas period.”
Among the fallen trees across the area was also an oak tree torn from the ground next to Fleming Avenue playground in North Baddesley.
The inside of the tree's bark was exposed as it split at the stump and toppled onto the wet grass near the park.
Daily Echo Camera Club member Mark Harris posted photos of the fallen oak tree on Facebook, stating part of his it felt like part of his childhood came “crashing down.”
He said: “Part of my childhood came crashing down today.
"This oak tree has been in the park, for as long as I can remember and now it's no longer going to be there. Sad times indeed."
Other people on social media commented on his post and said they had made memories around the tree.

One commentator on Facebook said that “so many great” memories were made around the oak tree, while another said to let it lie and allow it to become a new habitat for fungi and bugs.
Victor John Gray joked that it would bring “plenty of fire wood” but said he was glad that nobody was hurt when it fell.
It is not the only tree to fall victim to the winds this weekend, as a charity's hall was damaged near Southampton Common and a tree on Shirley Avenue fell onto two vehicles.
