The demolition of a beloved live music pub is underway in the city centre.
The Firehouse on Vincent's Walk was a popular music venue that catered for rock and metal fans for 17 years, but the pub is set to be replaced by a tower block of 139 studio flats.
Despite 1,100 people signing a petition to save the pub within 24 hours, plans to bring the tower block were approved.
The new flats will include cycle parking facilities, a gym, study area, laundry room and communal space.

Firehouse has been closed since January 1 after a final farewell celebration on December 31, 2023.
Posting on Facebook on the day of closing, Firehouse said: "So there we have it. The end of an era.
"We just want to thank you all so, so, so much for all of your love and support.
"So many faces both old and new have had so many kind words to say recently, we simply can't thank you all enough.
"This place has meant so much to so many and that has truly been shown."
