A ROMSEY-BASED charity is taking kids on artificial nutrition, some of whom have never been on holiday before, on the trip of a lifetime.

Across the country, families with children on artificial nutrition often miss out on making priceless holiday memories because travelling with tube feeds is a daunting concept.

Face Everything And Rise (FEAR) is a registered charity which supports and empowers these families to have active and fulfilling lives.

It arranges regular activity days, including swimming, sailing, skiing, adventure days, and theme park visits, as well as providing a safe area at each event for connection and use of medication and feeds.

This Christmas, it will be making a trip to Disneyland Paris along with 22 families, 72 people in total.

They will be taking the ferry from Dover, and driving in convoy to Center Parcs near Paris for three days of fun and adventure at Disneyland Paris.

Many of the children joining have never been on holiday before, so to have the support of the “FEAR” team, along with a specialised nutrition nurse, is a unique opportunity for all the families.

They will also be taking specialist FEAR drysuits so that children with central lines can swim safely in the Center Parcs pools with their families.
