A man has been charged after a mobile phone was stolen from a shop worker.
Around 5.30pm on July 21 a man entered Central Convenience Store on Palmerston Road, where he then stole a phone.
Tyrone Paul Smith, 43, was arrested in the city centre on Saturday following efforts by officers working in Coxford and Redbridge.
Smith, of Bugle Street, Southampton, has since been charged with burglary.
He will appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Monday, December 9.

Posting on Facebook, officers from Hampshire Constabulary said: “This is just one example of the great work these officers have been doing recently.
“Over the past few shifts, multiple wanted individuals have been located and arrested by the Designated Neighbourhood Officers of Coxford and Redbridge.
“At Hampshire police, we remain committed to keeping our communities safe.
“If you have any information or concerns, we want to hear from you.”
