A family has paid tribute to the “most generous father and husband” after a 65-year-old man died from his injuries following an assault.
Andrew Avery after being assaulted at an address on Exmouth Road, Gosport, on Friday, November 29.
Police were called to the scene by firefighters at around 5.20pm, following initial reports of a fire at the property.
One week on, Andrew’s family have released a tribute, saying his memory will live on.

They said: “Andy was a much-loved husband, father, brother and dear friend.
“He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. Andy was the most generous and kind person and would do anything for anyone.
“His memory will live on through his family and friends.
“Andy, you were so very loved and taken from us far too soon.”
Police have charged Alan Wotton, 81, with the murder of Andrew Avery.
He is charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
Appearing at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, he did not enter any pleas.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “Anyone with any concerns or information relating to this incident is encouraged to contact police either by calling us on 101, quoting 44240521185.”
