A block of suspected cocaine the “size of a tennis ball” was seized by police in a raid.

Police officers have been disrupting the supply of drugs across Fareham and Gosport.

Several raids were carried out last month, with weapons and suspected drugs uncovered.

On November 25, a zombie knife and knuckle duster were seized from an address in Mount Pleasant Road in Gosport.

The following day, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.

He has been released from custody but remains under investigation while enquiries continue.

The crackdown on crime continued on November 26 with a second raid at Jervis Drive in Gosport.

White powder, suspected cannabis, steroids, mobile phones and a “tennis ball sized block of suspected cocaine” were seized.

A 25-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and B drugs.

He was released from custody but remains under investigation while enquiries continue.

In 2021, The Offensive Weapons Act changed in legislation, banning the possession of any banned knife or weapon in a private setting.

Further recent changes to the law have also prohibited the sale, manufacture, and transportation of certain zombie knives and machetes.
