Building work on 15 new council homes is progressing well.
Construction teams have completed foundations and brickwork on most properties, with roof work beginning in the new year.
The houses at Stoners Close will be a mix of four and three-bedroom, while Glebe Drive will have three two-bedroom homes, and Wheeler Close will offer a mix of two and one-bedroom properties.
The homes, previously underused garages, are set to be completed by summer 2025.
They will now provide energy-efficient housing for those on the council housing list.
Councillors visited the council homes sites to see the good progress being made. Cllr Sue Ballard, chair of the Housing Board at Gosport Borough Council, said: "It's fantastic to see these new homes taking shape and on schedule to being ready for Gosport families to move into next year."
The council has also bought a property in Bury Road, which will be converted into six more units for housing services.
Separately, plans are advancing to convert the old Blakes Maternity Home building into more affordable housing.
The council has agreed to sell the site at Ham Lane to Vivid Homes, who will convert the empty bedsits into seven new affordable homes.
These will be rented at social rates to local families on the council housing list.
The building work and conversion plans are part of the council's strategy to meet the housing needs of the community.
The developments are expected to provide much-needed relief to those waiting for affordable housing options.
