Tesco has started a festive toy collection for children in need.
The Southampton Extra store in Bursledon is accepting donations until December 23.
These toys will then be given to children on the Piam Brown Ward at University Hospital Southampton.
The ward deals with children who have cancer and blood disorders. The aim is to brighten up their Christmas while they stay in the hospital.
Vikki Hanspal, a community champion at Tesco Southampton Extra, said: "We are thrilled to be able to support such a good cause with our toy collection this year.
"Thank you to our amazing customers for their generous donations. It will truly make a difference to a child in hospital this Christmas."
Claire De Silva, head of communities at Tesco, said: "Our stores are committed to supporting local children and their communities year-round, and our annual toy collection campaign is a wonderful way for our customers and colleagues to come together to make a real difference at Christmas.
"It's great to see Tesco Southampton Extra partnering with Piam Brown Ward at University Hospital Southampton this year to ensure that every child experiences the magic of Christmas."
The store has set up a specific spot for these toy donations. All toys must be new and not wrapped.
In addition to the toy collection, Tesco is giving the Salvation Army £25,000 to help vulnerable families during the Christmas season.
