Utility repair works on a busy Southampton junction have caused traffic chaos while temporary traffic lights remain in place.
Southern Water is currently undertaking essential maintenance works on the junction between Hill Lane, Howard Road and Archers Road after a reported leak in the area.
But Shirley residents are not happy due to the queues these temporary lights are causing.

Shirley resident Ryan Lewis, who has to drive up Hill Lane and through Howard Road to get home, fumed at the works and questioned why they had to pick such a ‘busy time of year.’
Ryan said: “It took me half an hour, more like 40 minutes, to do my 10 minute drive home from work yesterday because the entirety of Hill Lane was gridlocked at 5pm.
“It feels like there’s always something going on and the fact this will go on for days is killing me.”
Works were expected to be completed yesterday.
