Plans for a brewery in a Southampton back garden have been approved despite neighbours setting up a petition against it.
Licensing bosses at Southampton City Council approved plans for alcohol to be brewed at Benham's Farm House on Witts Hill in Midanbury – with it set to be sold online.
Floor plans show four large fermentation tanks and a bottling area located at an outbuilding by the 19th Century farmhouse.

The approval comes despite neighbours setting up a petition against the plans.
A resident of the area, who wanted to remain unnamed, said: “The residents of Chester Road and Benhams Farm Close are really against this and did try to start a petition.
“The site is on a main road next to a bus stop and a nursery – with nursery staff parked one side I think emergency vehicles will really struggle to pass down the road when this new brewery has a delivery or collection.”
But the council said: “This application has received one public representation accompanied with a petition.
“The petition did not meet the criteria specified on our website.”
