Plans for a new housing development in Stubbington have been submitted.
Bargate Homes is seeking permission to build up to 62 houses west of Old Street.
A pre-application was submitted to Fareham Borough Council in May with an initial proposal of 70 dwellings.
This was later amended to 62 homes to allow for more open space.
At least 40 per cent of the proposed homes will be classed as affordable housing.
A public open space and a natural play area are part of the plans.
All homes are proposed to be built with green technology such as solar panels, air source heat pumps, and electric vehicle charging points.
The development, designed by Southampton-based Snug Architects, will cover 3.7 hectares (9.2 acres).
Bargate Homes is working with its parent company VIVID to deliver the affordable housing portion of the project.
The proposed development is described as "landscape-led", with plans for new pedestrian access from Old Street, benefiting both future residents and the existing community.
The plans also include the creation of biodiversity corridors, a wildflower meadow, and a natural play area with imaginative play elements.
The public open space design incorporates rain gardens and drainage solutions.
Mark White, managing director at Bargate Homes, said: "We are pleased to have submitted an Outline Planning Application for up to 62 homes in this popular South Coast village. The houses will meet the needs and wants of the local community, as well as the aspirations of future residents.
"Currently designated for agricultural purposes, the site is inaccessible to the public. If we receive the go-ahead to construct this collection of new homes, it will help the local community by boosting the population of Stubbington and Hill Head. In turn, this would support the viability of local businesses and the overall vitality of the area."
The proposals aim to preserve and enhance views of the Solent from the site. The proposed materials for the homes have been inspired by the local area and nature.
The site is three miles from Fareham train station, which provides services to London taking approximately one hour and 35 minutes.
The development is also near the M27 motorway.
