Police are investigating reports of two people being punched by a man on Above Bar Street in Southampton.
Hampshire police received reports of an assault in Southampton city centre at approximately 12.15pm on Friday, November 15.
It’s understood that two people were punched by a man with officers continuing their investigation surrounding the incident.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We are investigating a report of an assault which happened in Above Bar Street, Southampton, around 12.15pm on Friday (November 15).
“It was reported two people had been punched by a man. Enquiries are ongoing at this time.”
Police did not provide any further detail on whether the victims sustained any injuries.
The incident occurred on the same day Southampton’s Christmas market officially opened on Above Bar Street, with an annual Christmas Lights display taking place on the road later in the evening.
