Police have released a statement after a man was stabbed in Woolston last night.
The man, in his 40s, was injured after an altercation on Victoria Road.

The pavement and three shops were cordoned off for several hours, reopening just after 11.30am.
No arrests have been made.
Here is the Hampshire Constabulary statement in full.
"We are investigating a report of a serious assault which happened in Victoria Road around 8.45pm yesterday (October 26).
"It was reported an altercation had occurred, during which a man in his 40s was stabbed in the leg, causing a minor injury.
"It is not believed a knife was used.
"Our investigation is in its early stages, and officers are in attendance today and conducting enquiries in the area.
"Anyone with information should call 101, quoting the reference 44240467078."
