The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
CONNOR ARNOLD, 23, of Gainsford Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to assault by beating in Ipswich, Suffolk. Arnold received a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay £50 compensation. He must also pay £85 court costs.
NEIL VARE, 49, of Franklin Road, New Milton admitted harassment without violence after he raised unnecessary and unsubstantiated concerns, made county court claims which where without merit, emailed and texted his victim threatening messages and made a complaint to her employer. He was jailed for four months.
LEIGH WILLIAMS, 40, of Hollands Close, Portsmouth pleaded guilty to drink driving a black Ford Ranger at junction three of the M27 near Southampton. He was caught with 117 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Williams received a one-year community order with 15 rehabilitation days and a 28-month driving ban. He must pay a £992 fine, £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.

OLIVER HEYWOOD, 28, of Waterside Close, Ringwood pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis in Southampton. He received a one-year community order with 200 hours of unpaid work and a 29-month driving ban. Heywood must pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.
MUHAMMAD JAHANGIR, 23, of Northumberland Road, Southampton admitted possessing a controlled drug of Class A, cocaine. He received a nine-month conditional discharge and must pay £85 court costs plus a £26 surcharge. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
ROBERT SARTAIN, 50, of Norham Avenue, Southampton pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving on Archer's Road, Southampton. He was caught with cocaine and benzoylecgonine in his blood. Sartain was banned for 12 months and was fined £120. He must pay £85 court costs and a £48 surcharge.
