Two friends are in the running for a wedding industry award.

Stacey and Rebecca from Southampton are hoping to win at the 2025 Wedding Industry Awards.

They have been named as regional finalists in the planner and makeup artist category. Winning this would recognise them as the best in the south central region.

The regional awards event in November will decide who moves to the national finals in January 2025. The decision will be based on client feedback and the judges' opinions.

Stacey Page Weddings has coordinated 34 weddings this year, the most since July 2021, when weddings resumed. Stacey also started managing The Barn at Avington this year.

Rebecca Grace MUA has worked on 44 weddings this year and began a new role as deputy curriculum manager of creative skills industries at Totton College last month.

Stacey from Stacey Page Weddings said: "The Wedding Industry awards is the most recognised awards in the UK, all suppliers have heard of it and I absolutely love that it is simply not a popularity contest where anyone can vote.

"It really is down to my couples from 2024 voting for me and the comments they give.  Plus, the awards evening itself is so great to be a part of; it's so much fun meeting and networking with other finalists. I can't wait for the finals!"

Rebecca from Rebecca Grace MUA said: "I am ecstatic to be at the height of my career and I want to celebrate this success by competing in the biggest award ceremony in the industry. I thrive on working hard and reaping the rewards from recognition, positive reviews and awards."

Damian Bailey, founder of The Wedding Industry Awards, said: "Since 2011 The Wedding Industry Awards has been dedicated to recognising and rewarding excellence in the wedding industry and this year’s Regional Finalists are clearly at the top of their game.

"Our awards are unique as they are voted by recent wedding couples and it’s not the total number of votes that companies receive that leads to success. Instead, we focus on the quality of the feedback they get from eligible couples, amongst other things."
