A domestic abuse charity has revealed it supported nearly 4,000 adults in just one year.

Stop Domestic Abuse hosted its annual general meeting on October 18 at King’s Community Church in Hedge End, where it shared its achievements.

In 2023/24, the charity responded to 39,000 calls for help and supported 3,952 adults and 1,487 children across Hampshire, Portsmouth, and Southampton.

Claire Lambon CEO said: "Every year I continue to be proud of how much this amazing organisation achieves. My colleagues provide support for our clients and respond with care, resilience and professionalism ensuring that all our clients have support to recover and heal. I was delighted to see so many people come together in support with us at our AGM."

The charity also engaged with more than 5,000 children through workshops promoting healthy relationships and provided training to over 1,200 professionals.
