Junior Parkrunners will celebrate a world first in Southampton this weekend - their 500th event.
Organisers are expecting a bumper turnout for the Southampton Junior Parkrun at Riverside Park on Sunday (October 27) as the event becomes the first of 433 events worldwide to reach the impressive milestone.
The event, a 2km course around the park beginning at 9am each Sunday, can attract in excess of 100 keen youngsters.

Southampton Junior Parkrun has held the most Junior Parkrun events in the world since it started in October 2013 as the first weekly Parkrun for young people.
The event aims to promote healthy living for children and teenagers aged four to 14.
More than 40 volunteers help out at the event each week, timing, marshalling and supporting the eager participants.
Organisers will be hoping for dry conditions and lots of personal bests as half term gets underway with the milestone event.
