The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
AUSTIN DAVIES, 36, of Draper Close, Andover admitted two counts of drug driving on St Johns Road, Hedge End. He was driving a Suzuki when he was caught with Benzoylecgonine - a breakdown product of cocaine, and THC in his blood. Davies was disqualified for 14 months and fined £300 for each offence. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £240 surcharge.
PAUL JAMES, 34, of Harborough Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to theft from a shop after £144.85 worth of items were stolen from Asda, Southampton. James was ordered to pay £144.85 compensation.
WILLIAM WILKES, 23, of Howard Road, Southampton admitted theft from a shop after food worth £2.94 was stolen from Central Convenience Store in Portswood Road, Southampton. He also pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress at Carlton Place. Wilkes received a 28-day sentence suspended for 12 months. He must pay £85 court costs.

GAVIN VARTY, 37, of Wharncliffe Road, Loughborough pleaded guilty to theft from a shop after £46.20 worth of cleaning pods were stolen from Sainsbury's in Southampton. Varty received a six-month conditional discharge and must pay £40 court costs.
NORBERT MACIOS, 21, of Mansel Road East, Southampton admitted drink driving a silver Ford Focus on Commercial Road, Totton. He was caught with 59 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Macios was banned for 14 months and fined £450. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £180 surcharge.
ABDISALAAM ALI, 30, of Kent Street, Southampton pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis. Ali was fined £250 and must pay £85 court costs plus a £100 surcharge. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
