A garden centre is offering free real Christmas trees to nurseries and schools.
Dobbies Cadnam, in partnership with Needlefresh, has launched the initiative to spread festive cheer.
The trees are managed sustainably across Scotland, with each having a unique code for tracking. Applications close on Wednesday, November 7, at 5pm.
Nigel Lawton, Dobbies’ Plant Buyer, said: "Buying a Christmas tree is a cherished tradition that is at the heart of festive celebrations. There’s nothing quite like the scent of a real tree, and decorating really marks the start of the season."
Successful applicants will be notified mid-November and can collect their tree on the night of the Dobbies Cadnam Christmas shopping event on November 21.
Needlefresh managing director, George Hood, said: "We hope that local schools and nurseries get in touch to apply for a real tree this Christmas, taking the opportunity to come together for decorating, making memories for pupils, teachers and parents alike."
