A popular pub in Hampshire is set to temporarily close for more than two weeks while refurbishment work is carried out.
The Hunters Inn in Romsey has been taken over by new management, with the pub now closed until Friday, October 25.
During the time the pub is closed to the public, work will take place to fully refurbish the kitchen – which will include a brand-new pizza oven – before plans take shape to extend the restaurant and introduce a dedicated bar area next year.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the pub, on Winchester Hill, said: “We will be closed for a few weeks for a full refurb of the kitchen plus a sparkle of the main trade areas.
“This will be followed a bigger project in March 2025, including a full extension to the restaurant and a reconfigured layout with a dedicated bar area.
“Full menus and bookings will be online later this week.
“A brand-new pizza oven is being installed as part of our full kitchen refurbishment.”
Customers dining at the restaurant will have the option of eating in or takeaway.
