A recruitment agency is celebrating its fourth anniversary with key milestones.
ProGroup Recruitment, based in Southampton, was founded in 2020 and operates mainly in the fire protection and property services recruitment sectors.
In 2024, it made 430 placements, gained 18 new clients, and received 24 five-star reviews on Trustpilot and Google.
The firm ensures its staff receive continuous training, which has helped it to remain a Charter Compliant member of Fire Aware.
The Fire Aware organisation was set up after the Grenfell Tower disaster to promote responsibility and safety in fire-related industries.
Jack McArthur, the director of ProGroup, is a Southampton native and is focused on making sure the company is successful both nationally and within Southampton's business community.
Mr McArthur said: "Southampton is where I’m from, and it’s important to me that ProGroup remains closely connected to its local roots while achieving national success. The city has shaped my journey, and I’m proud to be leading a business that’s growing from strength to strength.
"ProGroup’s ability to grow in such a challenging environment is a testament to the strength of our team and our unwavering commitment to finding the best talent for our clients.
"The recruitment landscape is tough right now, but we see these challenges as opportunities to innovate and better serve both our clients and candidates. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished and excited about what lies ahead.
"Southampton has been the perfect base for our growth. It’s a city full of opportunity, and we’re proud to be part of its business community. I’m excited to continue our success story with a strong Southampton connection."
Toby Mackay, director of ProGroup Recruitment, said: "Our growth has been driven by staying true to our core values. By focusing on expertise and accountability, we’ve been able to thrive in a highly competitive market.
"This has also earned us a strong reputation, with clients now coming to us for senior management hires when they struggle to find the right talent.
"It’s encouraging to see more people taking fire safety seriously, though there’s still work to be done in educating building owners about their responsibilities."
Gavin Skelly, founder of Fire Aware, said: "One of the unique aspects of the Fire Aware organisation is that it is open not only to those directly involved in delivering responsible fire safety, but also to the sectors that support the fire sector.
"This includes recruitment companies who have a duty of care to make sure the operatives they supply to their customers are the right candidates for the role.
"In fire safety this is vitally important as it only takes one mistake to cause a huge problem.
"Pro Group have joined Fire Aware because they understand this and work very hard to ensure they understand their clients requirements and send only those who are competent to provide the service.
"This allows Pro Group to stand alongside many fire related companies as they are demonstrating commitment to their duty of care to keep people safe.
"We are extremely proud to have this progressive company standing within our community leading the way in the recruitment sector."
