The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
KARL ANSTEY, 45, of St James Close, Southampton pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis. He was fined £80 and the court ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
BRADLEY AMOS-SMITH, 24, of Vanguard Road, Southampton admitted causing £100 of criminal damage to a mirror and a mug in Southampton. He received a 12-month conditional discharge.
JAMES DEMPSEY, 45, of Glenville Road, Walkford pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from a shop after £69.10 of meat and alcohol was stolen from Tesco Express on Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. He also stole £90.40 of meat from Marks and Spencer on Station Road, New Milton. He was fined £40 and must pay £69.10 compensation.

MATTHEW STEVENS, 24, of Southampton Road, Cadnam admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order after he repeatedly punched the window of a vehicle. He also pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Southampton. Stevens was fined £400.
RICHARD BURLINGHAM, 32, of Pennine Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to burglary after he stole an £850 e-bike from outside Alex Fish and Chips at The Triangle, Southampton. He received a community order to run until June 19, 2025, with nine rehabilitation days. He must pay £870 compensation. Burlingham must also pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.
JOHN DUNSDON, 42, of no fixed address admitted two counts of causing criminal damage to a door frame, a shelving unit and a bedroom door. He also pleaded guilty to possessing a knife in a public place, namely Selby Place, Southampton. Dunsdon received a six-month sentence suspended for 12 months. He must pay a £154 surcharge. The court ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the knife.
