An investigation has been launched after a man was seen exposing himself while jogging on a road.

Officers received several reports of the incident in Hamble Lane, Bursledon, around 3.30pm on Wednesday.

The man is described as white, in his late 30s, of slim build, with long blonde/brown hair in a ponytail.

He was also wearing a brown cap, black hooded top and grey leggings below the knee.

There will be an increased policing presence in the area over the coming days as patrols are carried out.

Officers are now calling for anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson said: “As our investigation continues, we would like to hear from anyone with any information, including any footage of the incident, such as CCTV, mobile phone, doorbell camera or dash cam.

“Did you also witness this incident? Did you see anyone matching the above description in the area at the time of the incident?

“Do you recall seeing anything else suspicious in the area at around 3.30pm yesterday?

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 44240428285. Alternatively, you can report online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website.
