A waterfront restaurant has become the first in Southampton to serve a famous cider brewed by former Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson. 

Figurati in Ocean Village says it has become the first restaurant in the city to serve Hawkstone cider.

The drink, brewed by the star of Clarkson's Farm, follows a six-week crafting process compared to the industry’s average of nine days and boasts a smoother, more rounded taste, according to Figurati. 

Bar manager Callum Steggles chose to stock the cider because he believed it was an "exceptional product that would complement the menu beautifully".

He added: "Its rich flavour profile and premium quality make it a standout choice on our drinks menu. I was confident it would quickly become a favourite among guests.

“Hawkstone cider is one of the fastest-growing UK beer brands, and we are excited to be the first to offer it to the Southampton community. We believe in keeping our menu fresh and exciting, and this cider was a great way to do that!
