A father has opened up about how his ex-girlfriend falsified a DNA test and lied on a birth certificate - meaning he could not meet his baby daughter until she was 15 months old.

Kyle Fitton told of his torment at having to wait to meet his little girl, thanks to the efforts of "spiteful" Georgina Saville who had threatened he wouldn't ever see his kids again.

Mechanic Mr Fitton, 28, said the ordeal he was put through by scheming Saville left him "broken".

Saville, 25, who already had a daughter with Mr Fitton, had tried to derail Mr Fitton's legal bid to get access to his children by claiming the baby's biological dad was her new boyfriend, Danny Mellows.

After a trial at Southampton Crown Court last week, a judge warned Saville, of Renoldson Drive, Bursledon, could face jail after being convicted of perverting the course of justice and a rare charge of wilfully making a false declaration as to a birth.

Now, speaking for the first time, Mr Fitton has revealed how the legal battle has 'broken me financially, emotionally and physically'.

Mr Fitton said: “It has taken me two years to get access to the girls - it has killed me.

"It's taken so long to get to this stage and to actually get to the truth, it's just a massive sense of relief.

"It scared me because we believed she was actually going to leave the country at one point

"I thought I was going to have my girls taken from me - they are my world."

Georgina SavilleGeorgina Saville (Image: NQ) He revealed despite their toxic relationship, he was "very happy" when he found out she was pregnant in the spring of 2021.

Saville claimed their baby was not his in March 2022, before presenting a fake DNA test and incorrectly filling out a birth certificate which both named Mr Mellows as the baby's father.

The father of two added: "I knew she was not Danny's from day one - from that point, I had to fight this, I had to fight for the truth.

"[Saville] has shown no remorse or insight about the impact this could have on the kids."

After lengthy court proceedings have concluded, Mr Fitton's children are now under the legal guardianship of his mother - their grandmother - meaning he gets to see them every day.

The 28-year-old added: “It's the best part of my day, knowing I finish work I get to go home and see my daughters.”
