Two controversial festivals due to take place this weekend have been cancelled, the council has confirmed.
Save the Rave and Look-A-Like tribute festival were due to take place at Royal Victoria Country Park on Saturday and Sunday, having been rescheduled from August.
But the organisers were stopped from changing their licence to allow the event to take place this weekend.
Hampshire County Council has now confirmed the event has been cancelled.
In a notice on the event's page, an update reads: “Organisers of the Save the Rave and Look-a-Like Festival have cancelled both events due to take place on September 28 and 29, 2024.
“Hampshire County Council is not responsible for the ticket sales for either of these two events.
“The event organisers (Jaly Group) will be contacting all ticket holders directly with further information regarding refunds.”

A notice on Skiddle, where tickets were being sold, also confirms the event's cancellation.
It reads: "If you have purchased tickets for this event, please check your email or online order history for further information."
Hampshire Constabulary criticised organisers Jaly Group, calling them incompetent and "full of waffle".
They raised safety and security concerns when objecting to Jaly's bid for amendments to their licence to allow the festivals to take place this weekend.

Phil Bates, licensing manager at Southampton and Eastleigh Licensing Partnership, also objected to the application.
Initially, Save the Rave and Look-A-Like festival were due to take place in August before being moved to September 28 and 29.
Ticket buyers have since been left in the dark as to whether, or not, they will be handed a refund from the Jaly Group.
Some had spend up to £145 on tickets for the Look-A-Like festival.

Hamble resident, Jayne Geromin, 66, was due to attend the Look-A-Like event with 10 friends and paid almost £150 for tickets.
She previously told the Echo: “Skiddle, the ticket outlet for the event, told me I had to email them for a refund as I cannot make the rescheduled date.
“I did not receive a reply to the many times I contacted them.
“I then went direct to Jaly and the only email I received was an automatic response.
“It is not acceptable, and the customer service level is zero.
“I would not buy tickets to any events through Skiddle or Jaly after this.”
