Police officers were dragged into a busy road by a teenager found to be concealing suspected drugs.
The two officers were patrolling Southampton city centre on Saturday night when they saw a male acting suspiciously and approaching members of the public.
Officers attempted to stop him and carry out a search for any bladed items, but the male began to “heavily resist” before “dragging officers” across the road in Cumberland Place.
Injuries including cuts and bruises were sustained by one officer, but both were able top continue their duties in the evening.

Enquiries into the incident continue.
