Dozens have been waiting in line at St Mary’s to secure their place as an extra in a Hollywood blockbuster being filmed in Southampton.
Key Casting agency is on the hunt for wannabe actors aged 17 and older to feature in a mystery Hollywood film that is set to feature an A-list actor in a lead role.
From 10am on Thursday, September 12, queues grew larger and larger outside St Mary’s Stadium and the people filling them were abuzz, speculating on what the film could be.

There was a huge range in age, ethnicity and experience for those attending the casting with many experienced extras.
“I haven’t been on the set of a film for three years as an extra – I wanted to go for this one as it’s local to Southampton”, said one of those in the queue at St Mary's.
Those looking for a spot in the film were let up the stairs in the stadium to the Mick Channon suite, where small groups were taken to be measured and filmed on camera against a white backdrop.
According to one of the casting team, the audition process was very much to assess how people looked on camera – with choices then made about who would be best suited to be in the movie.
Of course, some of those auditioning asked members of the casting team if they could spill the beans on what the film might be able and who might feature in starring roles.
As is the way of Hollywood, auditionees were quickly let down when the team informed them that they were just as in the dark as to what the blockbuster was going to be.
The speculation over the film's subject continued, however, with one stating they thought it could be a war film with filming locations set in Southampton and Portsmouth.
At current, it is still unclear what the film will be about and which A-listers will take part.
