The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
WAYNE HINTON, 45, of Coventry Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to common assault. He was fined £1,000 and must pay £85 court costs plus a £400 surcharge.
ANTHONY PERRYMAN, 43, of no fixed address admitted three counts of theft from a shop. He stole wine, protein bars, a milkshake and cookies from Tesco Express and Co-Op in Southampton. Perryman was jailed for 14 days and must pay £134.50 compensation.
KIRA CRAIGIE, 32, of no fixed address admitted theft from a shop after a Glade air freshener and a refill worth £9 were stolen from Poundland, Southampton. She was fined £80.
MATTHEW WHITLOCK, 27, of Outer Circle, Southampton pleaded guilty to harassment in breach of a restraining order in Irving Road, Southampton and assault by beating. Whitlock was jailed for 26 weeks and received another restraining order for the next two years.

CARL FAYER-HONOUR, 43, of Lower Buckland Road, Lymington admitted theft from a motor vehicle after he stole a Sthil leaf blower and multi-tool worth £1,150 in Hythe. He received a six-month conditional discharge and must pay £1,150 compensation plus £85 court costs.
NADEE TIRANT, 37, of Apsley Road, Portsmouth was found guilty of permitting the use of a vehicle with no insurance. This relates to a Honda that was travelling on the M27 westbound between junctions eight and seven near Hedge End. He was also convicted of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle. Tirant was fined £1,108 and received six points. He must pay £110 court costs and a £443 surcharge.
STEWART ROGERS, 45, of Christchurch Road, Ringwood pleaded guilty to speeding on Christchurch Road. He was driving a Citroen Berlingo at 36mph in a 30mph zone. He was fined £72 and received three points. Rogers must pay a £28 surcharge.
